Traveling Photo exhibition “Unique tourist resources of the cross-border Edirne-Burgas” in Burgas
From May 19 to June 18, 2021, the non-profit association “CHAR – Black Sea Development Association-Burgas” held a Traveling Photo Exhibition: “Unique tourist resources of the cross-border Edirne-Burgas”. The exhibition is part of the implementation of the PROJECT “ODRIN-BURGAS” YOUTH TOURIST HUB, № CB005.2.23.038, funded by the Interreg Program – IPA for cross-border cooperation Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020.
The exhibition consists of 50 photos of unique tourist resources / natural, cultural and historical sites and cultural events / from the cross-border region of Edirne-Burgas with texts in Bulgarian, Turkish and English / 25 from the region of Burgas and 25 from the region of Edirne /. The materials for the Photo Exhibition / for Burgas / were prepared by a Working Group, which conducted a study of significant tourist resources of the Burgas region: analyzed and systematized the unique tourist resources in the region of Burgas, using information from printed and electronic sources.
The photos are presented through 25 double-sided boards, which were displayed in the central parts of the city of Burgas and 5 other settlements in the region of Burgas: Kameno, Aheloy, Kableshkovo, Pomorie and Malko Tarnovo.
As a result of the Travelling Photo Exhibition, an informed environment was created for the tourist resources of the cross-border region Edirne-Burgas; The potential for sustainable tourism in the cross-border region is encouraged; Access to information is facilitated; An Innovation Model was introduced to promote the cultural, historical and natural heritage of the cross-border region as a whole; Attracted potential tourists and visitors to the cross-border region. The exhibition aroused the interest of visitors in all settlements where it was exhibited.
