NGO “CHAR – BURGAS” CONDUCTED A TRAINING “INNOVATIVE METHODS OF PROMOTION” İN MALKO TARNOVO
From 26 to 30 May 2021, the non-profit association “CHAR – Black Sea Development Association-Burgas” conducted a TRAINING TRAINING “INNOVATIVE METHODS OF PROMOTION” in the town of Malko Tarnovo. The training took place within the PROJECT ” ODRIN-BURGAS “- YOUTH TOURIST HUB Ref. № CB005.2.23.038, funded by the Interreg Program – IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020. The training was opened by Ms. Krassimira Yatakchieva, the President of the Association, of “CHAR – Black Sea Development Association-Burgas”, and the participants were greeted by a student in traditional Bulgarian costume with a loaf of bread.
The training was held in three modules: Lecture on “Innovative methods for promoting the resources of the cross-border region Edirne-Burgas”, which was presented by Assoc. Prof. Zahariy Dechev. The second module “Acquisition of guide skills in tourism” was lectured by Assistant Daniela Hristova. Assis. Rositsa Yangyozova engaged the participants in the Training with theoretical and practical classes on the topic “Acquisition of animation skills in tourism.” The lecture “Volunteer activities in tourism” was presented by Assoc. Prof. Zahariy Dechev. The high level of the Training was guaranteed by the expertise of the lecturers who are lecturers at the University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov ”- Burgas. A special guest of the event was Mr. Ilian Yanchev – Mayor of Malko Tarnovo, who opened the Training with an emotional greeting to the participants and a desire to acquire knowledge and skills that will be useful for attracting new tourists and visitors to the cross-border region of Edirne-Burgas, to the municipality of Malko Tarnovo, which is his jurisdiction and rich in natural and cultural landmarks.
The training was attended by 30 students from the the Tourism Department of the “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” University – Burgas, who showed exceptional interest in all topics and actively participated in the practical classes in Guiding and Animation in Tourism.
The training was conducted in a hybrid form. The Bulgarian students attended a hall in the town of Malko Tarnovo, and the Turkish participants had the opportunity to watch the lectures and classes online / from a hall in the town of Edirne / and actively participate in the discussion, showing interest in the tourist attractions of Burgas.
All participants received a Certificate for successfully completed Training Training “Innovative methods of promotion”.
Within the project event, the participants visited important tourist sites in the region of Malko Tarnovo and Burgas: Mishkova Niva, the Historical Museum – Malko Tarnovo and the Protected Site “PODA”.
