“INNOVATIVE PROMOTION METHODS” TRAINING WAS HELD IN EDİRNE AND MALKO TIRONOVA WITHIN THE “EDİRNE-BURGAS – YOUTH TOURISM CENTER” PROJECT

Edirne Youth and Education Association held the “Innovative Promotion Methods” Training on 26-27-28.05.2021-01-02.06.2021 within the scope of the “Odrin- Burgas – Youth Tourist Hub” (CB005.2.23.038) project.  The project is funded within the framework of the Interreg-IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Bulgaria-Turkey 2014-2020.

The non-profit NGO “CHAR – Black Sea Development Association-Burgas” organized the training “INNOVATIVE PROMOTION METHODS” in the town of Malko Tarnovo.

The training was opened by Ms. Krassimira Bedchieva, President of “CHAR – Black Sea Development Association-Burgas”, and a student dressed in Bulgarian traditional clothes greeted the participants with a loaf of bread. In the training which was held in 3 modules, the first module titled “Innovative methods for promoting the resources of the Cross-Border Region of Edirne-Burgas” was lectured out by Assoc. Dr. Zahariy Dechev, the second module “Acquiring Guiding Skills in Tourism” module was given by Assistant Daniela Hristova, and the third module “Acquiring animation skills in tourism” module, in which theoretical and practical information was presented to the participants, was lectured by Assistant Rositsa Yangyozova.

Assoc. Dr. Zhariy Dechev also made a presentation titled “Volunteer Activities in Tourism”. Thanks to the expertise of lecturers from “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” University, Burgas a high level of education was carried out.

The Mayor of Malko Tarnovo, Mr. Ilian Yanchev, warmly greeted the training participants and expressed his desire to acquire useful knowledge and skills to attract new tourists and visitors to the Edirne-Burgas cross-border region, which is full of natural and cultural riches, including his mandate, Malko Tarnovo Municipality. .

In the training attended by 30 students from the “Prof. Asen Zlatarov” University, Burgas, extraordinary attention was paid to all subjects and actively participated in the applied courses in the field of Guidance in Tourism and Animation.

30 Turkish participants had the opportunity to watch the lectures and presentations online, from a hall in Edirne, to the training, where Bulgarian students were physically present in a hall in Malko Tarnovo town, and actively participated in the discussions and learned about the sights in Burgas with interest.

Certificates were given to all participants who successfully completed the “Innovative Methods of Promotion ” Training. As part of the project event, Bulgarian participants visited the Mishkova Niva, History Museum – Malko Turnovo and “PODA” Conservation Area, which are important touristic places in Malko Turnovo and Burgas region, while Turkish participants visited Edirne Selimiye Mosque, Edirne Sarayiçi and Karaağaç Old Train Station.
